Lambs born up to the end of February are now past their wean weight bracket (66-120 days old) and in to their scan weight bracket/150 day weight (121 – 180 days old) and breeders need to begin recording all their scan weight. LambPlus breeders had the option of muscle and fat scanning their lambs. Where breeders did not opt in for this service provided by Sheep Ireland, they need to be recorded their 150 weight themselves. Lambs born end of March to Mid April are now outside the 40 day weight bracket (20-65 days old) and now into the wean weight bracket (66-120 days old). Once lambs slip outside weight brackets and have no weight recorded for there age, breeders DQI will be affected. Lambs born in late April are now due their 40 day weight.
