A Sheep Industry Meeting will take place from 10.30am, on Tuesday April 11th in the Teagasc sheep research institute in Athenry, Co. Galway. The meeting will take place in the Clareen room in the main building at the institute.
All breed society secretaries and chairpersons are invited to attend this meeting. Unfortunately due to space limitations we are unable to accommodate all LambPlus breeders at this meeting, however breeders that would like to attend can contact their society secretary who will notify Sheep Ireland. Every attempt will be made to accommodate everyone who wishes to attend, however please note that attendance is by prior notification only.
The meeting will focus in the main on sheep genomics and the next phase of the OVIGEN research project. We will seek to present and discuss a proposal for the continuation of sheep genotyping in 2017.
