How do you know what lambs are the best performers?

Use your Weighing Report to assess flock performance and know what lambs are the best performers.

LambPlus breeders put a lot of time and effort into recording critical animal weights throughout the year so it is important that you use this data to its full potential.

This video explains how you can use your weighing report and to identify the highest and lowest performing animals in your flock:

Log into your LambPlus account and find Weighing Report under the Reports section.

Once you are on the weighing report screen, you can select by clicking on each graph for:

Breed–  if a breeder is performance recording a number of breeds this is very useful in looking at a particular breed

Birth year– this is useful if a breeder wants to look at a particular lambing season

Sex  – breeders can select males or females in their flock

Weighing Dates – applying weighing dates allows a breeder to look at a specific weight period, e.g. in a given period or in a given weight date.

Weight Brackets – any animals within a particular weight bracket can be found by double clicking on the blue block

The average, minimum, maximum weights and average daily gain (ADG) is displayed for the time period you have selected.

When you initially go to your weight report screen, the overall flock average, minimum, maximum weights and average daily gain (ADG) will be displayed so it is very important to select the relevant filters for what you want to see.

All the data is also available to download into excel from your own profile when your at the computer. The download option is on the top right of the screen.
